The Dewa Resort

The Dewa Resort is a popular holiday resort for couples and families on the beautiful island of Koh Chang, located in the south-eastern corner of Thailand. Its beautiful beaches and gardens ensure that visitors have a relaxing time in this tranquil place.

Three different room categories are offered: Deluxe, Villa and Grand Villa. Some of the Deluxe rooms are at the side of the pool and have a terrace, while others have balconies. The more expensive rooms are larger, have their own private balconies, and are located on the upper floors. All rooms are well furnished with satellite television, DVD player and mini-bar.

There are a number of packages that are arranged by the hotel, such as the Bliss and Blossom packages. These include complementary internet wireless access and set dinners along with activities such as snorkelling and kayaking. Oil massage, facial treatments, aromatherapy and reflexology are offered in the luxurious hotel spa. Water contributes a great deal to the atmosphere of the hotel, from the large outdoor swimming pool to the sauna and whirlpool in the spa area. There is also a white, sandy beach just beside the hotel with a delightful beach bar and sunbeds. There is truly something for everyone in this hotel.

Koh Chang is part of the Mu Koh Chang National Park. Alongside tourism, fishing is a key occupation for the local people. Boat trips are easy to arrange, and this is one of the best ways of viewing the beautiful surroundings. Many scenic walks and cycle rides will take you to waterfalls in the hilly landscape. The most famous waterfall is Klong Neung, and it is located to the east of the resort, on the other side of the island. Koh Chang takes its name from the elephants who are native to this area, and there are several opportunities to meet and learn about these gentle giants. A little further to the north there is the Ban Kwan Chang Elephant Camp. Elephant trekking is one of the more exotic activities that you can try. All along the shore of the island you can also find kayaking, diving and snorkelling schools.
